Our Story

Bernie has never been a stranger to Digital Audio Workspaces (DAWs) like Ableton. He’s been playing around with Beatmaking since the early 2000s. Bernie’s wife Natasha is a Board Certified Music Therapist who prioritizes participatory led experiences in her sessions, and started wanting to use more Music Technology because her session participants were requesting them.

The pair soon realized their skills were a pretty magical match!

Bernie’s Ableton knowledge has saved Natasha TONS of time in session prep, and Bernie found he enjoyed designing musical playgrounds that were yielding meaningful experiences for people who really needed them.

And thus, the idea for BT Playgrounds was born: downloadable Ableton tutorials and customizable "Beat Playgrounds" for clinical/educational use with Ableton & other DAWs.
